Iliman Ndiaye ‘absolutely robbed’ at Everton after what Alan Shearer said
Iliman Ndiaye was one of the stars of the weekend as Everton surprised Premier League fans with a 3-2 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s opener at Goodison Park on 19 January, the Senegalese winger doubled the Toffees’ lead, sending the home crowd absolutely mental.
And that was before a deflection off Archie Gray gave David Moyes’ side a comfortable three-goal cushion heading into the half-time break, one which could not be overturned by Spurs.
Despite late goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison, the Toffees held on for all three points and Ndiaye was one of the biggest reasons for Moyes’ first victory of his new tenure.
As well as firing past Antonin Kinsky, his run from the middle of the park was incredible, leaving the Spurs players in his dust before firing past the goalkeeper.
Iliman Ndiaye left out of Premier League TOTW despite Everton display
His brilliant performance at Goodison Park seems to have been overlooked by Alan Shearer, who has left the 24-year-old out of his Premier League Team of the Week, rather surprisingly.
The winger now has six goals in 24 appearances since making his £15m move from Marseille during the summer [BBC Sport], becoming an integral force in the current squad, one who has fired them away from relegation for now.
The actual Team of the Week included Phil Foden, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson in midfield, with Justin Kluivert, Jean-Phillipe Mateta and Darwin Nunez.
Surely, there is room for Ndiaye somewhere in that team? He helped the Toffees to their first league win over Spurs in eight attempts, ending a barren run of two wins in 13 games across all competitions.

With Moyes’ side just four points above the relegation zone, it is easy to overlook some of the players currently battling down the bottom of the table, but Ndiaye’s performance was there for all to see.
He has been a shining light in the starting XI over the last few weeks, offering some kind of hope during the final weeks of Sean Dyche’s tenure, and now he is being allowed to thrive on the left flank.
