Everton ‘must pounce and beat Man City to January deal’ in £5m transfer update

Everton must move quickly to beat Manchester City to the signing of Juma Bah.

The Toffees have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old [Alan Nixon] who has made 12 La Liga appearances this campaign.

Pep Guardiola’s side have also shown an interest in the Sierra Leone defender but are yet to pull the trigger to complete a deal.

After opting to sign Abdukodir Khusanov for £33.5million [Sky Sports], David Moyes could take advantage of the Citizens to bring the Real Valladolid youngster to Goodison.

Everton could sign Juma Bah before Manchester City

The centre-back is close to reaching an agreement with the Premier League champions but City want to conclude a cheap deal [Alan Nixon].

Given that Bah is on a youth player contract in La Liga, his representatives have suggested he can walk out on his contract to complete a cut-price deal.

This could see a small fee be paid now with the potential of a tribunal further down the line which could see the fee rise to £5m.

With that being said, the Spanish side may be keen to guarantee themselves a positive fee for their starlet, which is where Everton could step in.

If the L4 club go to Valladolid and offer a fee close to their £12m valuation, there is every chance they accept and then the defender has a decision to make.

Manchester City are waiting on Bah with a view to a cheap deal which could be the perfect chance for the Toffees to sign a top prospect this winter.
