Everton ‘announce’ Brian Brobbey transfer interest as he jets into the UK

Everton “announce” that they are keen on securing the services of Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, along with West Ham and Tottenham, according to Telegraaf.

The news outlet reported on 24 January that the Netherlands striker had jetted into the United Kingdom and was even spotted in London on Friday evening.

It’s understood that West Ham want to sign him on a loan deal but the Toffees still have a chance to secure his services.

David Moyes would love an attacker like Brian Brobbey at Everton

David Moyes has historically favoured a tactical setup that emphasises a strong defensive structure with quick and direct counter-attacks.

Given the 22-year-old’s pace, physicality and goal-scoring prowess, the Scotsman would likely deploy him as the focal point of the attack, using his ability to run into channels and exploit spaces behind defences.

To get the best out of the Dutchman, Moyes would focus on providing him with service from the flanks, leveraging wingers or full-backs to deliver crosses where the striker’s aerial ability could shine.

Additionally, the manager’s prior experience in developing young talents, as seen with players like Romelu Lukaku and even Jarrod Bowen, would be crucial.

He could work on Brobbey’s hold-up play, encouraging him to link up with midfielders to retain possession and bring others into play.

Moreover, the manager himself might look to adapt his tactics game-by-game, tailoring systems to cater to Brobbey’s strengths, ensuring he gets ample opportunities to score while maintaining a solid team structure.
