The 61-year-old head coach is said to want two new forwards this winter, after losing Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja through injury.

There is a desire to bring a striker and an attacking player with pace to Goodison and it is fair to say that Igamane could fulfil both of those demands.

With just days remaining before the 3 February, the Toffees need to push to make a deal happen with Rangers to meet what Moyes wants.

With the Gers playing in the Europa League on Thursday night (30 January), this may not be easy but would certainly be a sign of intent for the Friedkins.

The 22-year-old Morroccan has proved to be excellent in the Scottish Premiership and Moyes may hold out hope that he can replicate that form if he makes a switch to the Premier League.
