Friedkins push to seal two new Everton transfers before February 3 deadline
Everton have funds ready for late new signings from the Friedkin Group ahead of the transfer deadline, according to iNews.
The newspaper reported on 30 January that the Toffees want to make two signings before the 3 February deadline with forward players appearing to be a priority.
Added pace in attacking areas and an alternative to the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin seem to be at the top of the shopping list in L4.
The new owners at Goodison have made funds available to make deals possible as the Americans intend to back David Moyes after his recent appointment.
Friedkins back David Moyes at Everton with new signings
There has been a boost in form since the Scot returned to Merseyside but there is no doubt that injuries could begin to take their toll.
With both Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja set for lengthy spells on the sidelines, there is certainly a need for a striker option moving forward.
Whether this is going to be possible with the little time remaining in the winter window or not, it appears that the resources are there to make it happen.
This is certainly a big plus for the Toffees supporters who will be pleased to see the new owners at Goodison offering funds so early in their reign after years of trouble.

There was often criticism of the previous regime about spending in terms of not spending enough at times and spending on the wrong players at other points.
Now the Friedkins have to learn from these wrongdoings and do their due diligence before spending money and that appears to be the case so far.
In other Everton news, a pundit has joked that a ‘points deduction is incoming’ after a new Iliman Ndiaye image was shared.
