Ian Wright stunned as Wayne Rooney predicts Everton v Leicester score – ‘Wow’
Ian Wright has been left stunned by Wayne Rooney’s prediction that Everton will beat Leicester 3-0 in their upcoming Premier League clash.
Since David Moyes arrived at Goodison Park, he’s managed to turn the Toffees’ form around and has got them within one point of 15th-placed Tottenham which is an impressive feat in itself.
However, if the Scotsman wants to help solidify Everton’s chances of retaining their Premier League status, wins against teams such as Leicester need to be accomplished.
Speaking on The Overlap Podcast (30 January, 56:00), Wright and Rooney shared their thoughts on the clash between the two relegation battlers.
“3-0 Everton,” Rooney said. To which Wright replied: “Wow.”
Everton need to carry on their recent run of form in the Premier League
Thanks to their wins against Tottenham and Brighton, the Toffees have managed to add six points to their overall Premier League tally over the last couple of weeks.
While some pundits were questioning the Friedkins’ decision to sack Sean Dyche, it feels like its a move that has paid off when looking at the Merseyside outfit’s last couple of performances.
The fact they managed to beat Tottenham 3-2 in the first place is impressive but then the fact they managed to hold onto their one-goal lead against Brighton on 25 January is arguably even more impressive.

Moyes has not only helped solidify the Toffees’ defensive ranks but he’s also managed to instil a new level of belief in Dominic Calvert-Lewin which he’ll likely be hoping he can transfer over to Beto now that the Englishman is injured.
Only time will tell what the future has in store for Everton but if they can beat the Foxes on 1 February, they’ll be putting themselves in a rather solid position.
