Everton pre-agree £15m permanent signing after what happened at Southampton

Flamengo have included very easy targets for Everton to buy Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent transfer, according to Vene Casagrande.

The SBT Rio journalist has revealed on his personal X account (31 January) that the Toffees have a purchase option close to the amount the Brazilian outfit invested in the midfielder.

The Blues have signed the 22-year-old on an initial loan deal, as finalising an operation before the 3 February deadline would have been difficult.

Everton finally confirm midfielder transfer at Goodison Park

David Moyes has finally been handed reinforcements in the ongoing transfer window, and Alcaraz’s addition was seemingly much-needed.

The Scottish manager confirmed that Orel Mangala will return to France after he suffered an injury. The Argentine youngster’s arrival is evidently crucial.

Alcaraz is a robust midfielder capable of playing in several positions but has mainly been deployed in central defence.

Everton will undoubtedly be delighted to have the 22-year-old in their ranks, considering that Juventus were willing to take a punt on him a few months back.

The youngster was a key player at St Mary’s before a falling out and moved to the Serie A giants on loan.

What the Goodison Park faithful will now hope is that Alcaraz is finally able to fulfil his potential on his return to the Premier League.

Moyes will need to integrate the 22-year-old into the first-team quickly as some crunch fixtures are coming up for them, including the Merseyside derby on 12 February.
