Everton desperate for transfers after Carlos Alcaraz developments
Everton are desperate to sign more players before the transfer window deadline, according to The Daily Star.
The newspaper reported in its sports print edition (1 February, page 3) that David Moyes is eager to bring new faces to Goodison Park despite having to be wary of PSR restrictions.
It states that the initial loan signing of Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo looks set to go through before the 3 February deadline, although the boss will still want more.
David Moyes needs new faces at Everton
There is no doubt that there has been a positive lift in Merseyside since Moyes’ return and supporters will surely be feeling more optimistic about their chances of survival now than they were going into 2025.
However, the Scotsman is well aware that if he wants to execute his mission this term, he will need more players available to him than he currently has.
After Orel Mangala’s injury ended his season, the impending signing of Alcaraz will certainly provide the Blues with a necessary reinforcement but rightly, that cannot be all.

Scoring has been an issue for Everton throughout the campaign and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin now injured, bringing in someone who can contribute goals to the team is even more vital than before.
Working within the financial restrictions will not be the easiest of tasks but there are certainly transfers to be done at Goodison before the window closes.
