Everton transfer round-up: Alcaraz set to jet in as defender update shared

Everton now have little time to complete any transfer business they desire as the 3 February deadline edges ever closer.

The Toffees have been linked with a fair few players since the window opened and now it finally seems as if some moves are being made.

Injury issues have once again taken their toll on the Goodison Park outfit which could end up forcing Everton’s hand regarding any moves they wish to make.

Here, Goodison News rounds up all the latest transfer news from Saturday, 1 February.

Everton are finally about to bring Carlos Alcaraz to Merseyside

The main transfer story to have emerged from the blue half of Merseyside over the last 24 hours is that Flamengo attacker Carlos Alcaraz is finally set to jet into England ahead of his move [Eduardo Burgos, 1 February].

The midfielder has had a previous spell in England with Southampton but things didn’t quite end up working out the way both parties hoped.

However, it seems that the Argentine could be the perfect fit for Moyes’ set-up as his pace, alongside his keen eye for a pass and goal could prove vital to the Toffees’ survival chances.

Everton could make a last-ditch effort for Victor Lindelof

Manchester United could be willing to part ways with Victor Lindelof before the winter window closes [Alex Crook, 31 January].

Everton have been long-linked with the Sweden international with Everton looking towards the towering centre-back in a bid to bolster their options in defence.

The 30-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the term so a deal could be agreed upon at a cut-rate price due to the minimal amount of time left to finalise moves.

Everton offered chance to sign AC Milan forward

Another long-term target of the Toffees is Samuel Chukwueze, the winger has been long-linked with a move to England with Everton his most likely suitors.

The Nigeria international has been out of favour at AC Milan this season which is why the Serie A outfit have offered the attacker to Moyes’ men for £11.7million [Calciomercato, 30 January].

Chukwueze could be an impressive coup for Everton and could help the Merseyside outfit capitalise on their recent good run of form.

Beto could be on his way out

Since the summer transfer window opened Beto has been linked with a return to the Serie A.

Even though interest in the striker has intensified in the winter window, it’s hard to see why Moyes would sanction his exit even if they do get the £20.9million they’re asking for [Calciomercato, 1 February].

Especially if no new number nines are brought in before the 3 February deadline.

Everton linked with move for Championship youth gem

The Toffees have now joined the race to sign Championship youth gem Tom Watson [TBR Football, 1 February].

The Sunderland winger is on the shortlist for a few clubs with Brighton already having an offer rejected for the youngster.

Moyes’ men haven’t yet made an official approach but they remain firmly in the race.
