Brentford to ‘accept big-money Mbeumo bid from Everton’ before deadline
Bryan King has backed Everton to make a last-ditch move for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.
The ex-Goodison scout thinks the Bees would accept a big-money move for Mbeumo before 11 pm on Deadline Day (3 February) – with Everton having previously been backed to sign a big-name player before the winter transfer window closes.
As reported by Alan Nixon via Patreon (3 February), the Toffees already look to be closing in on a new forward transfer having agreed a £10million deal with West Brom for Tom Fellows.
However, King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has suggested that Mbeumo could also be on his way to Merseyside in a spectacular last-gasp deal.
“Everton are looking to sign a striker,” King said.
“You’ve got Yoane Wissa and Mbuemo at Brentford – maybe they could go for one of those two. I don’t see why not if the money is right.
“The thing with Brentford is they are not a well-supported club, they don’t have big attendances, and if you’re a football club of that size, if a big offer comes in I’d imagine any player is available. However, it would need a good offer, that is for sure.”
Everton to make last-ditch move for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo?
Mbeumo is a high-profile player, and Brentford are also higher in the Premier League than Everton. Therefore, some supporters might question why the 25-year-old would consider a move to Goodison.
However, it is important not to forget that Everton are a much bigger club than Brentford.
As a result, if David Moyes’ side were to come in with a lucrative offer, there is no reason why it wouldn’t be accepted by the Bees.

However, with time running out, agreeing on a deal for Mbeumo could prove difficult, but not impossible.
