Everton backroom stance emerges on last-gasp striker signing
Everton will not be signing a new striker after a decision from the backroom staff at Goodison Park, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported via its live blog [3 February] that the current staff believe there are no quality strikers available in the market at the right price to seal a deal before the transfer window shuts.
Although Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja have both been sidelined with new injuries, the Toffees see no point in splashing money on a centre-forward who will not make an instant impact.
Everton to regret missing out on new striker signing before 11pm deadline?
Considering the Toffees’ current setbacks in the market due to PSR issues, it makes sense for David Moyes not to spend money on players who might not be able to make an impact.
It makes far more sense for the injured players to return to full fitness, which could just be a matter of weeks for Broja, instead of splashing the cash and risk being punished by the Premier League.
Having played just four matches under Moyes since replacing Sean Dyche, this Everton team has been completely transformed already, scoring eight goals in their last three games.
The Merseysiders have now moved nine points clear of the relegation zone, which has been a huge boost for the supporters, and a new striker does not look to be an immediate need right now.

Iliman Ndiaye has scored in three consecutive games, with Beto even netting a brace against Leicester City, so Moyes will just have to be patient for more of his players to return from the treatment table.
It could be a decision that backfires, which will only be known once the Premier League campaign comes to and end, but it is a sensible decision to make with just hours of the window remaining.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are readying a loan-to-buy deal for a new left-back, who wowed Thierry Henry.
