Everton transfer round-up: Late striker deal mooted as youth gem could exit

Everton have been in a decent run of form since David Moyes took over from Sean Dyche earlier in the season.

Their recent 4-0 win over Leicester City was a great performance with the Toffees outclassing their relegation rivals.

However, there’s still around half of the Premier League season left and although not all that much has changed at Goodison Park yet, there’s still a few hours left in the window.

Here, Goodison News rounds up all of the latest Toffees transfer talk from 3 February.

Carlos Alcaraz’s transfer to Everton is now almost done

Chris Beesley has shared that Carlos Alcaraz has now completed his move to Everton amid the recent links that have emerged.

The only thing that remains to be done now is for the Toffees to figure out when they’d like to announce the move.

Alcaraz will provide an extra attacking option to Moyes and perhaps help spur the Merseyside outfit on to make their way up the Premier League table.

Richarlison mooted for Goodison Park return

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja both ruled out due to injury, it felt like the Toffees had to have at least thought about bringing in a new number nine in the winter window.

A plethora of names were linked with a switch to the Merseyside outfit with Alan Myers even sharing that a loan deal for Richarlison could be on the cards before the window slams shut.

However, the Sky Sports journalist admitted that it would be a “lot of work” if a deal was to be agreed upon.

Everton youth gem Harrison Armstrong was often lauded by Dyche when he was in charge with the former Burnley boss allowing the youngster to train with the first team since the start of the season.

While he’s been given a few chances in the Toffees’ team this season, it seems that he’s set to get some real first-team experience under his belt with a loan move to Derby now on the cards.

The Rams will be a place for the 18-year-old to “continue his development” and to start fulfilling his potential.

Tom Fellows to make Everton switch?

West Brom ace Tom Fellows is another player who has been long-linked with a Goodison Park switch thanks to the impressive form he’s found himself in this term.

There were talks of the winger making a move to Merseyside at the start of the winter window but nothing ever came to fruition.

However, as the 11pm deadline edges closer, it seems that the Toffees had a little trick up their sleeve as The Independent have shared that the Toffees had a £15million bid for Fellows rejected.

Fellows making a last-minute switch to Everton would be an impressive coup on Moyes’ behalf but it’s a deal that feels difficult to make, especially at this stage of the window.

Everton to make last-ditch attempt for striker

As aforementioned, Everton have struggled in the striking department this season with their recent injuries not helping matters all that much.

So, it isn’t a surprise to see that the Toffees could be making a move for a new number nine before 11pm [Graeme Bailey, 3 February].

No names have been mentioned regarding who the Merseyside outfit could go for but until 11:01pm, anything could happen.

In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared the one condition it would take for the Toffees to end the loans of Armando Broja and Jack Harrison.
