Everton look like a different team under the management of David Moyes a win against Crystal Palace on Saturday continued to back that up.

Alcaraz had an impressive full debut too, providing the assist for Beto’s goal before going on to score the winning goal himself in the 80th minute.

His actions on the pitch left the Blues striker thanking his new teammate as Beto posted about the game on Instagram (15 February) and included “gracias hermano” directed at Alcaraz in his caption, translating to “thank you, brother”.

The new Everton boy was quick to praise his teammate back though as he left a comment on the post that read: “Que jugador”, meaning “what a player” when translated to English.

Everton looking like a new team

The change of the Toffees under Moyes has been remarkable and players that have been underperforming all throughout the season so far, look like rejuvenated people.

There is no doubt that Beto is certainly one of those who have benefited from the change at Goodison Park.

Before Moyes returned to Merseyside, the striker had scored just one goal across throughout the campaign and when Dominic Calvert-Lewin was forced off with an injury, there was plenty of concern about where the attacking force would come from.

However, Beto has certainly answered the questions of any doubters and the way he linked up with Alcaraz against Crystal Palace suggests there’s even more to come from the pair.

The 22-year-old arrived from Flamengo during the winter transfer window and it seems as though he could be just the kind of strength his manager needed.

Based on the pair’s Instagram comments, a good relationship is cooking between the two players and that could prove to be an exciting prospect for Blues fans this term.
