Everton and Manchester United in advanced talks over United States showpiece already
Everton and Manchester United have entered advanced talks over playing pre-season fixtures overseas already.
The Toffees have been on an upward trajectory ever since David Moyes returned to replace Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.
As a result, there is a very high chance that Premier League football will be gracing the new Bramley Moore Dock stadium next campaign.
Ahead of next season’s kick-off, talks have kicked off over joining a Premier League tournament in America alongside multiple other sides.
Everton in talks to join Premier League Summer Series in United States
Last summer, the Toffees were a rare example of a side who didn’t go abroad during their pre-season preparations.
This saw fixtures be played only as far as the Republic of Ireland against Sligo Rovers with the rest of their warm-up games being played in England.
There could now be set to be a dramatic change at the end of the season as advanced talks have kicked off ahead of playing in the Premier League’s Summer Series event in the United States, according to The Athletic on X (18 February).
This could see the Toffees line up against the likes of Manchester United, Bournemouth and West Ham with additional sides likely to join the line-up.
The tournament won’t begin until the FIFA Club World Cup, which is also being played in America, ends on July 13.
The league organisers have reported that more than 260,000 fans attended the first edition series which surpassed their internal projections and could represent an attractive prospect for the Evertonians.

Friedkin Group impact already on show at Everton in Summer Series talks
After taking over from Farhad Moshiri, the Fredkins have had little chance to have an impact on Merseyside but could kick that off in the summer.
This could begin by taking their new side to their homeland to feature in huge stadiums against sides like Manchester United.
This could prove to be an excellent marketing strategy for the Toffees ahead of their move to Bramley Moore next season with one eye being kept on finances.
It will be interesting now to see how these talks go with the Premier League and whether the L4 club will be going stateside ahead of an exciting pre-season tour.
