Everton to replace another senior figure as well as Kevin Thelwell

Everton are expected to replace another senior figure at Goodison Park along with Kevin Thelwell, who looks to be on his way out.

The Friedkin Group’s (TFG’s) takeover from Farhad Moshiri has recently seen them make some significant changes.

David Moyes returned after Sean Dyche was sacked, and the Scottish manager’s appointment has been a game-changer for the Toffees.

Thewell’s contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, and another prominent backroom figure may accompany him out of the Blues.

Dan Purdy set to depart Everton

Dan Purdy is set to be replaced by the Merseyside outfit in the coming months, according to the Daily Mirror.

The news outlet reports in its print edition (21 February, page 59) that Thelwell and the Toffees’ chief scout will likely depart soon.

TFG are looking to make major changes at Goodison to the backroom staff as they eye replacements for senior roles.

Purdy has been in multiple roles at Everton for several years and rejoined as scouting and operations manager in 2022, three months after leaving.

The Blues set for revamp under TFG

The Friedkins will have Bramley Moore Dock to their advantage next season, as the Toffees could likely become a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.

Over the years under Moshiri, the Blues’ prospects have deteriorated as they have constantly found themselves in relegation battles.

Dyche left the Merseyside outfit near the drop zone, and the fears of playing Championship football looked realistic under the former Burnley manager.

It would have been embarrassing for the Toffees to go into the new stadium playing in the second tier of English football.

Moyes has seemingly ensured that won’t be the case after some impressive performances in the Premier League recently.

The Blues are 13 points clear of 18th-place Ipswich Town, and the Scottish manager has all but confirmed their Premier League survival.

Purdy was part of the failures under Moshiri, and TFG are well within their rights to look for replacements.

Fans have high expectations from Dan Friedkin, and he will need astute minds in the boardroom to help steer the Merseysiders to greatness.
