Ruben Amorim scolded by Everton shareholder over ‘pathetic’ decision taken
Manchester United have embarrassed themselves again, with Everton shareholder Mike Parry the latest person to take a swipe at the Red Devils.
The two clubs find themselves sitting just one point and two places away from each other this season, a tough campaign for the Red Devils and a season saved under David Moyes for Everton.
It certainly seems as though the Blues are the more successful on and off the pitch though, and Parry has been left blasting Ruben Amorim for what he has recently done at Old Trafford.

Parry brands Amorim pathetic after Manchester United punishment
After the 2-2 draw between Everton and Manchester United on 22 February, the Red Devils went on to narrowly beat Ipswich Town 3-2 in the week, despite going down to 10 men.
Alejandro Garnacho stole the headlines for his reaction to being substituted after he stormed down the tunnel and did not return, expressing his disappointment.
As a result, Amorim decided to punish him by making him pay for the meals of the entire squad.
However, Toffees shareholder Parry has argued that this is a ridiculous move and took to his personal X account to share a picture of the news, saying: ” This is truly pathetic.
“Manchester United player Garnacho throws hissy-fit after being subbed and flounces off down the tunnel.
“A strong manager would hammer him but Utd manager Amorim “punishes” him by ordering the multi-millionaire to buy dinner for 25 other multi-millionaires. Joke.”

Everton are finally on the way up
It’s funny how football works out and with the Red Devils having an incredibly poor season by their standards while the Toffees have been saved by Moyes, who initially left Goodison Park for Old Trafford, highlighting the strange part of the game.
Position | Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Points | |
Manchester United | 14 | 27 | 9 | 9 | 9 | 33 |
Everton | 16 | 27 | 7 | 11 | 9 | 32 |
Amorim’s response to Garnacho’s outburst was certainly an interesting way of dealing with it and you can see why people like Parry have questioned the response.
However, it is a move that certainly highlights the differences in the mentalities now, given you would not expect an Everton player to respond in such a way in the first place.
Although the Blues had found themselves in a difficult position in the first half of the campaign, the return of Moyes has worked wonders for the Toffees with form significantly improving.
The new boss seems to have transformed the football being played at Everton, but also improved the mindset of the players, who look more confident and assured of themselves.
With Everton now unbeaten in seven games, they are a side firmly on the way up and watching how things are unfolding at Old Trafford, it’s no surprise that Parry was keen to take a swipe.
