Jarrad Branthwaite exit verdict emerges after £40m Everton transfer news
Jarrad Branthwaite’s long-term Everton future remains up in the air and a recent £40million transfer update will only further fuel speculation.
Branthwaite has been a key player for the Toffees over the past couple of seasons and David Moyes will no doubt be keen to keep hold of the centre-back.
The Scottish tactician could convince Branthwaite to sign a new contract with Everton.
It is thought that the Toffees could offer Branthwaite as much as £150,000-a-week to remain with the club as they make the move to Bramley-Moore Dock.
However, the 22-year-old is likely to have some top clubs chasing his signature this summer, with a shock move to Liverpool not ruled out.
And a recent update will leave Everton fans wondering what is next for Branthwaite.

Everton want to sign Club Brugge defender Joel Ordóñez
As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon (2 March), Everton and Aston Villa are set to battle for Club Brugge defender Joel Ordóñez.
The Ecuadorian can play at both centre-back and right-back and is expected to cost around £40million, with the Toffees willing to make a “big” offer.
This could open the door for Branthwaite to exit Everton. However, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – doesn’t necessarily think this will happen.
“I don’t think this means Branthwaite will be sold,” King said.
Everton | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Jarrad Branthwaite | 76 | 4 | 1 |
“Moyes will need two top quality centre-backs, and I’d imagine that these two players could form a good relationship, and it would also add some depth to the Everton squad. However, the question is, will Branthwaite sign a new contract?
“Is he desperate to leave the club? I don’t think he is, I’m sure he would like a future with Moyes, and if they can bring in a top quality centre-back to play alongside him, that might help convince him to stay.”

Everton need to convince Branthwaite to remain on Merseyside
Things are looking up at Everton ahead of next season.
Moyes has made big improvements on the pitch while The Friedkin Group are making plenty of moves in the boardroom too.
Therefore, if the club could convince Branthwaite to stay, that would only increase expectation levels ahead of next season.
