Theo Hernandez transfer: Everton ready to make move after £33m update

Theo Hernandez has emerged as a transfer target for Everton after a significant update from AC Milan.

David Moyes has Vitalii Mykolenko at his disposal, and the Ukrainian left-back is a key player for the Toffees, with a new contract on the horizon.

Ashley Young has also shone at Goodison Park this season, but the 39-year-old’s current deal expires next summer, and it remains to be seen whether he will extend his stay with the Blues.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have revived expectations at the Merseyside outfit since their takeover, and their ambitions could potentially see them land one of the best players from Italy.

Everton interested in AC Milan defender Hernandez transfer

Hernandez’s contract expires in June 2026, and the Rossoneri have decided to cash in on the France international in the coming months after talks over a new deal have stalled.

It has been reported that the defender is valued at around £33m, and Everton will be eyeing an opportunity to push for his signing.

Moyes to be delighted with Hernandez transfer

TFG’s decision to appoint Moyes has worked wonders as they have all but confirmed their survival in the English top flight after a poor start to the season under Sean Dyche.

The Scottish manager looks set to take the Toffees into Bramley Moore Dock with their heads held high after the realistic danger of playing Championship football at the new stadium.

Having gone six games unbeaten in the Premier League, the Blues are undoubtedly safe from relegation until something drastic happens.

Considering Moyes’ success at Goodison Park this season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see TFG giving him more control of first-team recruitment next summer.

Hernandez would arguably be an ambitious addition to the Blues’ squad, but with the new owners’ financial muscle, nothing should be ruled out.

The Friedkins possibly have good connections in Italy as they also own Roma, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to convince the French left-back to move to Merseyside.
