David Moyes takes swipe at Liverpool live on BBC
Everton boss David Moyes took a swipe at Liverpool as they faced Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Anfield hosted the Ligue 1 outfit on 11 March as both teams looked to qualify for the quarter-finals of the prestigious European competition.
Moyes’ return at Goodison Park has revived his close rivalry with the Reds, and he couldn’t help but aim a dig when asked about their Champions League fixture.
The round of 16 fixture ended 1-1 on aggregate after extra time, and Arne Slot’s team ended up being eliminated after losing on penalties.

Moyes unaware of Liverpool v PSG in Champions League
Moyes joked he wasn’t aware Liverpool were playing when asked about their fixture against PSG at Anfield.
The Toffees’ boss was attending the Blood Brothers musical at the Liverpool Empire as Arne Slot’s team faced the French champions.

When a reporter jested that attending the event was one way to avoid watching the Reds play in the Champions League, the Scottish manager had a witty reply.
Speaking to the BBC, via Jon Shea on X (11 March), Moyes said: “I didn’t know there was a game on tonight. Is there?”

Goodison Park rejoices after Moyes return
Moyes has all but ensured Premier League survival at Everton this season after impressive performances in recent matches.
Goodison Park feared relegation under Sean Dyche, but that feels like a lifetime ago after what the Scottish manager has been able to do since his return.
The Toffees have gone seven games unbeaten in the English top flight, taking them 16 points clear of 18th-place Ipswich Town.
At this stage, it would take a massive collapse from the Merseyside outfit to go down to the Championship.
With Goodison Park in its final season ahead of the move to Bramley Moore Dock, Moyes managed a fairytale ending in the last Merseyside derby at against Slot’s team on 12 February.
While Liverpool has been the heavyweight in the rivalry between the two teams, The Friedkin Group have a chance to change expectations around the Blues.
In the coming years, fans will expect the Toffees to be challenging for European places and maybe lifting a trophy at the new stadium.
