Everton to host new Bramley-Moore Dock event amid ‘teething issues’
Everton’s move to Bramley-Moore Dock hasn’t been plain sailing, and the club could look to host a new event to address some issues.
The Toffees will move from Goodison Park to Bramley-Moore Dock, which is set to host a landmark event, next season.
Everton hosted their first test event at the 52,888-capacity ground on Monday 17 February as the club’s Under-18s were beaten 2-1 by Wigan’s Under-18s.
Some issues did emerge that night, with Liverpool Echo journalist Tony Scott sharing an image via X (17 February) of a crowded train platform full of Everton fans on their way home from the event.
The Liverpool City Council were expected to take action, and it will be interesting for fans to see if any improvements have been made when the club host their second test event, with a third event already potentially on the cards.

Everton to host VIP event at Bramley-Moore Dock
Everton have announced that the club’s Under-21s will take on Bolton B on Sunday 23 March in the second test event at Bramley-Moore Dock.
And ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has now speculated a third potential test event which will be aimed at ensuring the club’s more premium services run smoothly.
“Moving to a new stadium is never going to be easy,” King said.

“They’ve built a 53,000-seater stadium in a completely new location. Therefore, they need to ensure that the infrastructure functions. It Is good that these teething problems are happening now, as it gives them a few months to get things running.
“It is going to be interesting; I’d imagine the first few Premier League matches are already sold out. These little test events will be aimed to see how things will run when the season starts. There will be teething issues, that is for sure.
“I see recently that they’ve been getting their catering in place and that there will be different levels of catering on offer for VIP experiences. Therefore, I’d imagine that Everton will run some kind of show or event at the new stadium where they will be having sit-down meals to ensure that things run smoothly.”

Everton need to ensure Bramley-Moore Dock is ready
It has been a chaotic few years at Goodison Park.
However, Everton appear to be heading in the right direction as they get ready to move to a new stadium under their new owners, The Friedkin Group.
Therefore, everyone connected with the club will be hoping the move to the stadium runs smoothly. As a result, Everton should host as many test events as it takes to ensure that this is the case.
