Everton fans will love what Richarlison has posted ahead of Liverpool clash
Everton are set to face Liverpool at Anfield in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night, and both sides are gearing up for a heated encounter.
Everton drew 2-2 with Liverpool in the final Goodison Park derby in February, with tensions boiling over after James Tarkowski scored a last-minute equaliser.
Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucoure were sent off at the end, and Liverpool manager Arne Slot was also punished for his aggression shown to the match officials after.
This reverse fixture at Anfield is the first time the two sides will meet since, but while there is less on the line in terms of league position, the passion of the derby will be fully present at Anfield.
Richarlison posts about Merseyside derby ahead of Liverpool v Everton
Former Everton hero Richarlison has now had his say ahead of the derby, with the Brazilian featuring prominently in this fixture in the past.
Richarlison took to Instagram on the eve of the derby, and the Brazil striker showed his allegiance still lies with Everton.

The Brazil forward reposted a video from Everton onto his story, of his goal at Anfield the last time the Toffees won there.
Everton’s 2-0 victory at Anfield in February 2021 was their first since 1999, and Richarlison opened the scoring in the third minute, sprinting onto a James Rodriguez through ball to power home a finish.
Richarlison’s record vs Liverpool
Richarlison’s sheer dislike of Liverpool has seen him play with extra venom against them, and Everton fans would have loved to see him in the side at Anfield.
The 27-year-old helped bundle the ball in against Liverpool on his Premier League debut for Watford, before scoring against them twice with Everton.
The Brazilian also netted a late equaliser for Tottenham at Anfield two seasons ago, but this joy was short-lived as Liverpool scored a minute later.
Richarlison has scored four and provided three assists against Liverpool, in 15 games across the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, for Watford, Everton and Spurs.
His one win with Everton came at Anfield, while he also helped Tottenham beat the Reds 2-1 with a goal in October 2023.
