Nottingham Forest v Everton injury news: Huge Iliman Ndiaye update emerges

Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye cramping against Arsenal is not something out of the ordinary, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it does not mean the Senegal international is suffering a re-injury going into the final few weeks of the campaign.

Since his return from injury, the 25-year-old played against Liverpool and Arsenal, making a start against the latter.

Ndiaye expected to be cleared to start against Nottingham Forest

The Toffees are set to take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground later on Saturday, 12 April.

Ndiaye, who is expected to be among the first names on the team sheet if fit, is not expected to have any fitness issues going into the game.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsDr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Ndiaye: “He did start the game against Arsenal and was cramping before being taken off.

“Some cramping is to be expected from players returning from injury, so nothing to be worried about.

This doesn’t mean that he won’t be able to start the next game, as he’s close to being back to full fitness.

Ndiaye has been an exceptional signing for Everton

Ndiaye has been a transformative presence at Everton since joining from Marseille in 2024, injecting flair and dynamism into a squad seeking stability.

His seven Premier League goals, including a crucial penalty against Arsenal, have made him Everton’s top scorer this season, lifting the team during challenging moments.

Ndiaye’s versatility, excelling on the left wing or centrally, has added unpredictability to the Toffees’ attack, with his dribbling and ability to win fouls disrupting defences.

The 25-year-old’s work rate complements his offensive contributions, endearing him to fans.

Despite a slow start under Sean Dyche, Ndiaye’s adaptation to the Premier League’s intensity, honed at Sheffield United, has been seamless and based on what Dr Brar said, he’s expected to be given a start against Forest.

His standout performances, like scoring against Tottenham, Aston Villa and Brighton in consecutive games, have boosted morale, helping Everton secure vital points in their fight to climb the table.
