Armstrong ‘could seal £10m Everton exit’ as Blackburn transfer news emerges
Harrison Armstrong could be moved on before getting the chance to establish himself at Everton.
Armstrong is a highly rated Everton prospect who featured in every Premier League matchday squad for the first 24 games of the season, making it off the bench three times.
The 18-year-old was sent on loan to the Championship in the final days of the winter transfer window, joining Derby County. Since his move to the Midlands, Armstrong has made an impact with the Rams and has demonstrated that he is a player with a bright future ahead of him.
However, it looks as though his Everton journey could be brought to an end before it has properly begun.

Blackburn Rovers want to sign Armstrong from Everton
As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon (13 April), Blackburn have Armstrong on their list ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Armstrong has impressed with Derby and could head to the Championship again next season.

Blackburn had lined up a move for the midfielder before he made the switch to Pride Park Stadium, and Rovers are now looking for younger players either on loan or for bargain fees, and Armstrong could be one of them.
However, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes the teenager wouldn’t come cheap and would cost £10million in total.
“We see a lot of silly figures being brandished around for young players these days,” King said.
“Therefore, I could imagine that Armstrong might be sold for as much as £10million, especially if that includes particular clauses, if the player is playing regularly, first-team appearances, internationals, etc.
“Everton have a good record bringing players through the academy because they have a good academy.”

Everton should not let Armstrong leave permanently
Even if they did receive an offer of £10m, Everton should not let Armstrong leave the club.
While that kind of money is a lot for a largely unproven 18-year-old and could provide a boost to Moyes’ transfer kitty, it isn’t worth the long-term risk.
Armstrong is a player with plenty of potential and could soon be worth a lot more than £10m. In addition, he has climbed the ranks at Everton and, therefore, deserves a chance to break through into the first team.
