Armando Broja ‘axed for good’ in three changes – Everton predicted XI v Man City

Armando Broja may have started his last game for Everton, with David Moyes potentially set to make three changes for their clash with Man City.

Everton have nothing left to play for this season, though that won’t prevent them from trying to build confidence and momentum to take into the new campaign.

Several players will also be playing for their future at Everton ahead of the final six games, with some key decisions needed to be made over the summer.

With that in mind, Moyes could make three changes to his starting 11 for the encounter with the reigning Premier League champions, with Broja potentially one to miss out.

Moyes to stick with unchanged defence

Since Moyes came in, Everton have stood strong defensively, and he is unlikely to budge from his usual back five against City.

Jordan Pickford will likely start in goal, with a back four of Jake OBrien, Vitalii Mykolenko, Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski.

Branthwaite could very well be playing his final few games for Everton amid exit links ahead of the summer transfer window, though Moyes will undoubtedly be looking to utilise him until his future is decided.

Everton are in good form ahead of the City clash.

A midfield partnership of James Garner and Idrissa Gueye was pivotal to the Toffees’ win against Nottingham Forest last time out, and it is likely that the Scotsman wtill stick with his trusted duo.

The first of three changes for Everton could come in the 10-role, with Abdoulaye Doucoure potentially dropping out of the team to make way for Carlos Alcaraz, who has impressed since his loan move in the winter.

Everton may make attacking changes v City

Iliman Ndiaye may retain his spot on the left flank, with Jack Harrison dropping out in favour of Jesper Lindstrom.

Moyes has had a serious conundrum when it comes to strikers this season, and with Armando Broja failing to impress against Forest, he could be dropped from the XI with Beto in to replace him.

It seems unlikely that Broja will be here next season, and he may have already started his final game for the Toffees.
