Everton pitch at BMD undergoes transformation already as drone footage emerges

Everton supporters are starting to get excited ahead of the move to the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

The Toffees will leave their Goodison Park home, where they have played for 132 years, at the end of the season.

They are set to move into their 52,888 capacity ground before the start of the 2025-26 campaign and new footage has emerged.

Everton stadium footage emerges ahead of summer move

The Blues only have three Premier League matches left to play at Goodison before the season concludes and preparations start for the transition to their new home.

Drone footage has been revealed (16 April) showing the pitch being transformed ahead of the third and final test event, which will be held later this year.

It appears as if the grass is being resoiled to make the pitch healthier in the long term and smooth out any lumps and bumps ahead of the move.

The latest development will only serve to excite the Toffees faithful ahead of the switch as progress continues after several teething issues during the first two test events, which were expected, as that is exactly what they are for.

Moyes set to lead Everton into new era

It is rather poetic that David Moyes is set to lead the Blues into the new era under the Friedkin Group.

The 61-year-old enjoyed a remarkable first stint at Goodison, guiding the Toffees into European qualification on several occasions before leaving to take the Manchester United job in 2013.

This time, circumstances are worse but he has driven the Merseysiders out of relegation danger and is hoping to lead a charge towards the top end of the table next season.

Alongside the new stadium, the American investors look set to back the Scotsman to redevelop the squad in the transfer market to achieve his goals, with numerous players out of contract and seemingly set to depart.

Overall, it is a very exciting time to be involved with the blue half of Merseyside and all parties will hope that the new era brings success and ends the misery associated with Farhad Moshiri and Sean Dyche.
