Idrissa Gueye ‘to sign unbelievable contract’ as Everton exit news emerges

Idrissa Gueye is set to sign a lucrative contract as an update emerges on his Everton future.

David Moyes has inspired a big turnaround at Goodison Park and is expected to hold talks with the Friedkin Group about Everton’s summer transfer plans.

In addition to incomings, the Scottish tactician will be interested in players leaving the Merseyside club, especially with a host of first-team stars out of contract at the end of the season, such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who could seal a move to Newcastle United.

Another player whose Everton deal is expiring in the summer is Gueye, and an update has now emerged on the midfielder’s future.

Everton star Gueye ‘to receive unbelievable contract offer’

Gueye left Everton in 2019 to join Paris Saint-Germain, before returning to Goodison Park in 2022.

The Senegal international has been a regular this season. As a result, supporters will be interested in his next move.

Gueye has been a key player for Everton in recent years

In an exclusive interview with Africafoot (16 April), Gueye’s agent, Taieb El Idrissi, who is working in collaboration with Roc Nation Sports, confirmed that his client is finalising his exit from Everton.

El Idrissi revealed that Gueye has concrete offers from the Saudi clubs, Al Ahly and Al Ettifaq.

As a result, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – expects Gueye’s next contract to be a lucrative one.

“I’m sure he will be presented with a silly contract,” King said.

“What is the main way to attract players to Saudi Arabia? By offering them a lot of money. Players coming toward the end of their careers, such as Gueye, are being offered unbelievable contracts.

“Why else would they want to play in that league? It is not a competitive league for young up-and-coming players. However, financially, it is the move of your life. Gueye probably realises he is coming to the end of his career, and good luck to him.”

Everton need to replace Gueye

Gueye has started 30 times in the Premier League this season, while making a further two appearances from the bench.

Therefore, if the 35-year-old is to move on this summer, a replacement will be needed.
