Everton ‘to seal Rayan Cherki transfer’ after ownership announcement
Everton supporters will be looking ahead to the summer transfer window with some optimism for the first time in quite a while.
It has been a transformational season for the Toffees, with The Friedkin Group completing a takeover, while David Moyes’ appointment at Goodison Park has turned things around on the pitch.
Everton have climbed up the table and now sit thirteenth, but with nothing to play for now, the end of the campaign will be calling out, ready for a new era to get underway.

As the Friedkin Group look ahead to their first proper transfer window at Everton, there is expected to be more investment into the squad.
Moyes has certainly done enough at Everton to prove that he is worthy of being backed ahead of the new campaign, already showing signs of great progression with players that he has inherited.
While progression is essential, any growth will have to be done in a measured and sustainable way as the Toffees will not want any dangers of PSR breaches rearing their ugly head again.
With that in mind, those who are on the recruitment team will have to be shrewd in their business to ensure a healthy balance is struck.
The Blues have received a boost, though, after announcing that Christopher Sarofim has joined the ownership group at Goodison Park.
The announcement detailed that his role will be a board observer and as a result of the appointment, the financial base of the club will be strengthened.
Moyes could receive a boost in Rayan Cherki pursuit
There is plenty of change required at Everton in the summer, and one area where Moyes wants additions is at the top of the pitch, with attacking options having been limited this term.
Rayan Cherki is one name on Moyes’ list of targets for the summer window and it has been reported that Lyon would be looking at a price tag of more than £20million to part ways with the attacker in the summer.

Although the 21-year-old has been linked to Liverpool, these are said to be just rumours for now and given the Toffees may receive an investment boost as a result of their new appointment, this should surely urge those at the top to back Moyes to go for this transfer.
If Everton could pull it off, it would be an excellent bit of business as the Blues look up the table and with that extra security coming into the club, a risk could be taken on this front.
