David Moyes eyes Everton cash windfall ahead of summer squad ‘reset’
David Moyes is in for a busy summer transfer window with 13 first-team players running out of their contracts at Everton.
The Toffees are expected to bolster their ranks significantly in the summer, as they prepare for the dawn of a new era at the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
Moyes will be hoping to receive backing from The Friedkin Group in what will be their first major transfer window as the Everton owners.
However, the mismanagement under the Farhad Moshiri regime means that the Merseyside-based club will still have to be wary of their spending.

Michael Ball expects Everton squad reset
Looking ahead to an exciting summer, Michael Ball claims he is certain Everton will be busy in the transfer market, with a squad ‘reset’ on the cards.
That is why the former defender hopes the Goodison Park outfit can bring in any amount of money they can before the season draws to a close.
Player | Contract |
Carlos Alcaraz | Loan |
Jesper Lindstrom | Loan |
Jack Harrison | Loan |
Orel Mangala | Loan |
Armando Broja | Loan |
Ashley Young | Permanent |
Asmir Begovic | Permanent |
Seamus Coleman | Permanent |
Michael Keane | Permanent |
Idrissa Gueye | Permanent |
Abdoulaye Doucoure | Permanent |
Dominic Calvert-Lewin | Permanent |
Joao Virginia | Permanent |
He is certain that Moyes will be thinking the same way, as he looks to lead Everton higher up the table in the remaining four games to increase the club’s revenue further.
“Moyes will want to finish as high up the table as possible to bring as much money as he can to the football club, with each position further up bringing in more”, Ball wrote in his column on the Echo website (28 April).
“That gives us more chance of bringing in the top-quality players that the fans want to acquire for when we move to Bramley-Moore Dock.
“We know it’s going to be a busy summer for the football club. It could be a total reset, and every little bit of extra cash could help.”

Moyes to repeat Marouane Fellaini trick
Everton have been linked with several players in recent weeks, with West Ham United’s Tomas Soucek being one of them.
Soucek has two more years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium, but is reportedly open to a reunion with Moyes on Merseyside.
The Czech international had a lot of joy during his time under the veteran manager at West Ham, bagging 32 goals and 11 assists in 207 appearances.
Soucek was replicating Marouana Fellaini’s spell at Everton, and could now do the same under Moyes at Everton.
