Everton to give Richarlison transfer green light as bargain offer ready

Richarlison could potentially return to Everton in the upcoming transfer window, with the Brazilian striker struggling at Tottenham.

The Toffees sold the 27-year-old to Spurs for a significant sum in 2022, but he’s failed to fulfil his potential in North London.

Richarlison’s time at Goodison Park was fruitful, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the centre-forward wanted to move back to a familiar environment after some underwhelming years in the capital.

David Moyes will be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin if the Englishman doesn’t sign a new contract in the coming weeks, making reinforcements up front seemingly imperative for the Blues.

Richarlison loan transfer from Tottenham likely at Everton

While Tottenham would like to sell Richarlison, the Merseyside outfit are likely to make a loan offer for him, according to TBR Football.

The news outlet reports (29 April) that a temporary move would be more realistic for the Toffees due to the Brazilian centre-forward’s wages, and they would be happy to sanction it next summer.

It’s been claimed that the Blues want to bring in one or two statement signings ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock, with the 27-year-old striker on their radar.

Spurs want a permanent transfer, though, and will push to include obligations in any potential deal with Moyes’ team for the former Fluminense ace.

Moyes needs TFG to spend money on striker transfer

Calvert-Lewin is not the only number nine who could leave the Toffees soon, with Armando Broja’s loan spell from Chelsea also expiring at the end of the season.

Beto’s future at Goodison Park was up in the air in the winter transfer window before Moyes was eventually forced to rely on him.

While the Guinea-Bissau striker had a decent spell under the Scottish manager, goals have dried up for him recently.

Everton also have Youssef Chermiti in their ranks, but he’s hardly been seen in the current campaign due to his fitness issues.

The Toffees have signed strikers over the years who’ve consistently been injured, and The Friedkin Group (TFG) must learn from those mistakes.

Richarlison’s frustrations at Tottenham have partly stemmed from his lack of availability, as he’s spent a considerable amount of time on the sidelines.

It wouldn’t make sense for the Blues to spend a significant sum on the Brazilian ace as there’s no guarantee he’ll be able to play a majority of the games in the season.

A loan deal makes sense, considering the Merseysiders won’t be investing a lot of their funds in the 27-year-old centre-forward, but it remains to be seen whether Spurs are willing cut their losses on him.
