Everton eye Gustavo Hamer as Championship verdict awaited at Sheffield United
Everton are interested in Sheffield United star Gustavo Hamer, but are waiting for the Championship to come to an end.
The Blades have had a mixed bag of a season under Chris Wilder and are looking ahead to a playoff run after missing out on automatic promotion.
The Dutch midfielder has been an integral cog in the machine at Bramall Lane, earning the second-tier Player of the Year award on 28 April.
Now the Toffees under David Moyes have emerged as a potential destination for the 27-year-old but not until the campaign is complete in the Championship.

Everton could sign Hamer after Championship playoffs
There is no doubt that the midfielder has been consistently one of the best players in the division since signing for Coventry City in 2020.
A difficult year in the Premier League didn’t stop him from shining once again in the second tier, sparking interest from above ahead of the summer.

One of those side’s is the Toffees who could be set for a midfield overhaul if Idrissa Gueye is to leave when his contract expires.
As a result, Hamer has been shortlisted at Goodison and is firmly on their radar alongside Sunderland ace Dan Neil, according to TeamTalk (30 April).
The online outlet have reported that the Toffees will wait to learn the results of the playoffs to see if Sheffield United or the Black Cats are promoted.
This could see the Merseyside outfit turn and focus on whichever player fails to win promotion to the Premier League.

Hamer could be superb for Everton
There have been plenty of positive points for the L4 club since the return of Moyes earlier in the season.
The Scot will be keen to build on this early success with new signings as his side moves into the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium for the new campaign.
Hamer could prove to be an excellent signing for the Evertonians as a superb box-to-box midfielder with an eye for goal.
Alongside someone like Wilfried Ndidi, the Dutchman could have the freedom at Merseyside to shine and prove a point in the Premier League.
This looks set to hinge on whether the Blades get promoted; if not, Moyes has to be proactive and make the midfielder his in the summer.
