Carlo Ancelotti to deal major blow to Everton summer transfer move

David Moyes has certainly solidified his popularity at Everton, having completely revitalised the squad since his return to Goodison Park.

The Scotsman replaced Sean Dyche, who had the Toffees sitting just one point above the relegation zone upon his departure and accepted that the decision was probably a fair one.

Carlo Ancelotti is another former Blues boss who is not having the best time of things as it stands, with it looking likely that he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the campaign.

The 65-year-old was linked to the Brazil job but it has also been suggested [Ben Jacobs] that there remains Saudi interest ahead of his departure from Spain.

Moyes considering Everton transfer moves

Moyes is certainly someone who is staying put in his job at the end of the season and he has plenty of work to do in order to strengthen the Toffees.

One man who has been linked with a move to Merseyside is Richarlison, who has struggled in north London after leaving Everton for Tottenham back in 2022.

With the Blues seriously needing to add strength up front, it’s no surprise that the side are looking at their former forward to help solve their problems.

The Brazilian had a successful time in his previous stint, hitting strong numbers and given that he is not replicating that at a struggling Tottenham, it’s a move that is unlikely to create too much protest.

The Blues have been linked to a loan move, but as long as he could hit the desired levels on Merseyside, that would work for Moyes’ men.

Ancelotti could stamp on Everton plans

Although a move to Bramley-Moore Dock with Everton seems like a perfect solution to both sides’ problems, Ancelotti could block the move.

Richarlison has previously been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia himself and if his former boss was to make the move there in the summer, then it could shift his attention.

A move to Saudi would obviously mean a big increase in wages and Richarlison did play at his best levels under Ancelotti, so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see the pair keen to reunite if the opportunity was there.

There are plenty of permutations that will influence how this pans out, but it would be incredibly ironic for Ancelotti to be the man who gets in Everton’s way.
