Everton ‘ready to spend’ as Liam Delap transfer developments emerge – Exclusive
Everton have already put their hat into the ring to sign Ipswich star Liam Delap this summer.
David Moyes is on the lookout for a new striker with uncertainty surrounding all of his current options at Goodison Park.
After several windows with limited spending, though, doubts could emerge over signings like Delap, with the Friedkin Group looking to transform the financial picture for the Toffees.

Everton push to sign Delap
It has been shared that the England youth international has a relegation release clause worth £30million, with the Tractors Boys confirmed for the Championship already.
Dan Plumley, a football finance expert, admits that with times changing under the Friedkins, Everton are expected to loosen the purse strings in the summer window.
“I would expect things to change slightly,” he exclusively told Goodison News when asked if the Toffees could spend to sign Delap.
“Of course, we’re still looking at a league that will continue with the current version of PSR for another year, and Everton have been loss-making as well, so I’m not saying that the blank chequebook is open and it’s all guns blazing.
“But, given the restructuring of the debt position and what the Friedkins are looking at doing, I think it’s likely that we will see more activity from Everton in the summer.
“That could be the start for them to progress forward. I don’t think we will see huge amounts of money spent from them, but I certainly think the mood has changed, the finances have changed, so I think it’s likely they will be active.”

Moyes has earned Friedkin backing
If you want to impress new owners, who have appointed you as their first major decision in charge, Moyes has done that perfectly at Goodison Park.
In his second stint, clinging on to survival upon arrival, the Scotsman has jet-boosted Everton up the Premier League table with ease and is sending them flying to Bramley-Moore Dock.
Delap could be the perfect summer present for that, too.

This is certainly one to keep an eye on, but after he started at Goodison Park on Saturday, he saw exactly what the crowd can do ahead of a new stadium move.
Delap may have been lucky not to be sent off in the 2-2 draw, but home fans won’t mind that if he joins the new era this summer.
