Everton ready bid for Georgios Vagiannidis transfer after Leeds United twist
David Moyes is already putting his budget to use at Everton ahead of a very busy summer transfer window, it seems.
The Scotsman has done excellently in difficult circumstances since his return to Goodison Park in January, but this is only the start of what’s to come.
With The Friedkin Group confirmed to be behind him in terms of investment, Moyes will be eager to shape the team in preparation for pushing up the Premier League table next season.
One man that is on the boss’ list of targets is Georgios Vagiannidis, currently of Greek side Panathinaikos.

Everton ready offer as Leeds prepare fight
Sustainable growth is key on Merseyside if Everton want to secure a stable position going forward.
Therefore, the new owners will be keen to keep business measured during this summer and ensure that the money is not all blown at this stage.
Nevertheless, having funds to put into the squad is something Everton have been missing out on for a while and it certainly grants Moyes the opportunity to do something exciting.
Greek news outlet Sportdog (7 May) has reported that the Toffees are readying a bid of up to £8.5million to sign Vagiannidis this summer.
It is stated that the Merseyside outfit have already approached the 23-year-old directly, having watched him play on Sunday (4 May).
However, the Blues must be prepared to face competition from Leeds United, who are also said to be interested in Vagiannidis and are set to watch him play this weekend.

Vagiannidis fits the bill at Everton
With Moyes seeking proper change as his side prepares to make the move to Bramley-Moore Dock in the summer, this could certainly be what is needed at Everton.
Moyes has already expressed his desire to reduce the average age of his side to create a squad that can play more free-flowing football.
At a young age, this would be a perfect time to recruit the right-back, allowing for the opportunity to develop further under the management of the Scotsman in the Premier League.

With Leeds having been promoted to the Premier League, this does become a bit of a tougher fight than Everton would have liked it to be.
However, securing his services could be a signal of the new era on Merseyside and the more exciting times that are set to come.
