‘Calvert-Lewin could now pen new contract’ as shock Everton news pops up
Dominic Calvert-Lewin could finally put pen to paper on a new contract at Everton after months of speculation.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a departure from Goodison for many months as his deal looks set to come to an end at the end of the season.
This has seen the likes of Newcastle and Manchester United show an interest in the Englishman, but they could be set to be disappointed in the coming weeks.
David Moyes could finally be set to tie Calvert-Lewin down to a fresh contract on Merseyside ahead of a busy transfer window in L4.

Everton to be hopeful of Calvert-Lewin contract agreement
There is little hope surrounding the future of the striker ahead of the move to the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium in the new campaign.
This comes after months of speculation linking the forward with a move away from the Toffees after a difficult campaign in the Premier League.

That may be the case, but Calvert-Lewin could be tempted into signing a new deal if he is handed more regular first-team assurances.
The ex-Sheffield United man could be set to be handed those by Moyes if Beto is to move on once the window opens at the end of the season.
This has seen the 27-year-old be linked with a move to Leeds United after the Whites earned promotion to the Premier League [Rob Dorsett, 7 May].
Daniel Farke’s side are said to have upwards of £100million to spend in the summer, with a sizable fee potentially set to be spent on the Guinea-Bissau international.
If a deal is to go through at Elland Road, Calvert-Lewin may see his future at Goodison rather than any other Premier League club.

Beto to aid Everton transfer business
Given that the Toffees spent upwards of £30m, there is every chance that a similar fee could be demanded from Leeds in the upcoming window.
Not only could this afford an opportunity to tie Calvert-Lewin down to a new contract, but it could also allow for more signings on Merseyside.
This could see Carlos Alcaraz’s deal be made permanent while other targets are addressed as Moyes oversees a major overhaul.
Replacements for the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure could be required, and a big-name sale could be needed to aid these deals.
There could be more positives than negatives when it comes to letting Beto leave to join the newly promoted side.
