David Moyes reaction emerges as Everton want Richarlison transfer again
David Moyes is already thinking about adding to his Everton squad in the summer transfer window.
The Scotsman has done well to turn things around at Goodison Park since his return to Merseyside, but now the boss is hungry for more.
One area where the Toffees need serious reinforcements is at the top end of the pitch, with the attacking force of this season not offering enough.
Richarlison is one man who has been linked with a return to Everton, in the hope of turning things around after failing to replicate his best form with Tottenham.

Moyes is keen on bringing Richarlison back to Everton
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Beto and Armando Broja have all been underwhelming for the Blues this season, so it is no surprise that the boss is already thinking about ways to solve the issue.
As it stands, all three players could be set for permanent exits from Goodison Park in the summer as Moyes looks to refresh the options he has in his side.
Richarlison may not have been able to hit his best form in North London, but given how well he did during his previous stint in blue, it’s no wonder that the Toffees are keen on a return.
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
2021/22 | 30 | 10 | 5 |
2020/21 | 34 | 7 | 3 |
2019/20 | 36 | 13 | 3 |
2018/29 | 35 | 13 | 2 |
Although Moyes wasn’t in charge during the Brazilian’s time in Merseyside, it seems as though he, too, is convinced that this could be a signing his side needs.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News (8 May), reporter Mike Wedderburn claimed: “How about this?
“Everton are interested in exploring a deal that would see Richarlison return to the club from Tottenham.
“We understand David Moyes is a long-time admirer of the Brazilian and he has prioritised searching for a striker in this summer window.”
Richarlison and Everton could be a good match
Given just how well Richarlison did during his time at Everton before, he is a loved figure with the supporter base, and therefore, this could be a popular deal.
In addition to this, his time with Tottenham being a disappointment suggests that there wouldn’t be a lot of protest from his current side to block this move.
At 27-years-old, the Brazilian could still hit good numbers for a while if he can return to his best form as the Blues prepare to move to Bramley-Moore Dock at the end of the campaign.
That being said, Moyes will certainly need more reinforcements than just one man at the top of the pitch, so while being keen on this signing, he has to keep his eyes out for more as the summer approaches.
