‘Beto’s future is now sealed’ – Three things learned in Everton win v Fulham
Everton ended their poor run of form against Fulham on Saturday afternoon, securing a 3-1 victory at Craven Cottage.
Raul Jimenez opened the scoring for the hosts before a late first-half strike from Vitaliy Mykolenko deflected past Bernd Leno to level the game for the Toffees.
Fulham went on to dominate the majority of the game from there on out, but failed to turn that domination into anything meaningful, with Everton striking twice in succession to secure a 3-1 win.
Here are three things we learned from the clash at Craven Cottage.

Friedkins need to back Moyes this summer
Since arriving, Moyes has done a fine job with Everton, but a lack of final quality has been on show on several occasions this season.
The Toffees often got into good areas against Fulham, but lacked that final touch or decision, and it has been the case throughout the campaign.
This side has some very strong foundations, and with that extra injection of quality in the summer, Everton can start competing at the right end of the table, as showcased by their resilience against Fulham.
Moyes simply needs to be backed by TFG, and they need to recruit players capable of transforming this Everton team.

Abdoulaye Doucoure exit could hurt Everton
Abdoulaye Doucoure hasn’t been at his best this season, but he has occasionally shown what he is capable of bringing to the table on Merseyside.
Albeit slightly fortunate, Doucoure registered an assist at Craven Cottage, and just generally caused problems for Marco Silva’s side as he has done throughout the campaign.
Should he depart from Everton, the Toffees would lose that physical presence in midfield, and it could have a bigger effect than many would expect.

Beto’s future could be sealed on Merseyside
Amid links to Leeds United, Everton will need to make a decision on the future of Beto come the end of the current campaign.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin injured more often than not, Beto has been the go-to option for Moyes, and he may not be reliable enough to enter the new season.
Everton | Games | Goals | Assists |
Beto | 31 | 10 | 0 |
Everton need a man up top that they can rely on to score goals, as well as someone who can bring himself into the game if the service is lacking, and he has shown plenty of signs of being able to do that.
Of course, there is still a lot of work he needs to do to improve, but he certainly has what it takes to play a part next season.
The only way an exit may make the most sense for Everton is if they can get a decent fee, though it would leave them in need of at least two strikers this summer, with Calvert-Lewin likely to leave.
