Everton and Fulham ‘Nonsense’ slammed after what’s seen at Craven Cottage
Perry Groves has blasted what he’s seen as Everton face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Craven Cottage hosts David Moyes’ team on 10 May, with the talkSPORT commentator baffled by something he saw right before kick-off.
The Scottish manager has made a few changes in the backline, with Ashley Young and Michael Keane starting against Marco Silva’s side, but that has backfired, as Raul Jimenez opened the scoring in the 17th minute, before Vitalii Mykolenko equalised.
James Tarkowski’s injury at Goodison Park has forced the former West Ham United boss to make a few defensive tweaks in recent matches, with Jordan Pickford wearing the captain’s armband.

Pickford and Bernd Leno being captains in Fulham v Everton blasted
Groves brands Pickford and Bernd Leno captaining their respective sides at Craven Cottage as “nonsense”.
The ex-Arsenal winger doesn’t understand the decision to hand the armband to shot-stoppers, with the German ace leading the Cottagers out as Tom Cairney is on the bench.

Groves took a dig at the Blues’ number one being the skipper, as he’s far away from general play and may not be able to influence things much.
Speaking on talkSPORT 2 (10 May, 15:00), the former forward said: “Just going back to two goalkeepers being captains, I’ve never ever got that.
“If you’re Pickford… you’re so far from actual general play. Honestly, goalkeepers being captain is a nonsense.”

Moyes will want players to play for Bramley-Moore Dock future
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, but the midfielder has once again started for the Toffees.
Idrissa Gueye is another player Moyes may be without next season, but the Scottish manager seems to have his focus on ending the season well.
The 62-year-old head coach seems to have allowed the players to play for their futures and maybe change The Friedkin Group’s (TFG’s) mind.
Moyes should be backed at Everton ahead of the upcoming transfer window, and if he wants players like Doucoure and Gueye to stay, then the American owners must ensure that.
Keane and Young are also set to become free agents soon, but they could potentially make a statement against Fulham, something that they didn’t do in the first half.
The Blues have nothing but pride to play for in the season’s final stretch, and the Scottish manager will undoubtedly be keeping tabs on players who should be part of the plans at Bramley-Moore Dock.
The Merseyside outfit are winless in their last three matches, so they must fight for the win after the break.
