Angus Kinnear already set to block big-money Everton player exit to rival club
Angus Kinnear does not officially start working with Everton until June, but is already pulling the strings when it comes to transfers.
Everton are braced for a big summer of change, with 13 first-team players running out of their contracts at the end of the season.
While several players are expected to head towards the exit door, The Friedkin Group are also prepared to back David Moyes with significant new additions.
That means Kinnear will have hardly any time to settle into his new job as the Everton CEO when he starts on 1 June, especially with Kevin Thelwell leaving his role as the director of football.

Kinnear to block Beto transfer to Leeds United
In the last few days, Beto has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Leeds United, as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
The Elland Road outfit are willing to shell out £30million to sign a new striker ahead of next season, with the Guinea-Bissau international under consideration.
However, such a move would be difficult for Leeds to pull off, according to YEP.

The Yorkshire-based newspaper reported via their website on Sunday (11 May) that Everton are unlikely to sanction a move for Beto, considering Dominic Calvert-Lewin is already due to leave at the end of his contract.
Furthermore, the Toffees hierarchy, including Kinnear, would be reluctant to strengthen a club they consider to be a ‘positional rival’ next season.
This means Kinnear does not intend to show Leeds any association despite spending eight years there before deciding to join the Merseyside-based club.

Everton could cash in on Beto
Kinnear being unwilling to sell Beto to Leeds does not mean Everton will not consider cashing in on the striker at all.
While the 27-year-old is on a two-game goalscoring streak, it is worth noting that he went eight matches without finding the back of the net before that.
Moyes will want more consistency from his centre-forward next season, and that is why the Toffees may be tempted to cash in on Beto for a sum in the region of £30m.
