Moyes to replace ‘brilliant’ Beto after what Lineker said about Everton
David Moyes could be in line to replace Beto at Everton as Gary Lineker spoke out after the win against Fulham on Saturday.
The Toffees travelled to Craven Cottage on 10 May and came away with an impressive 3-1 win against Marco Silva’s side.
Goals from the Guinea-Bissau international, Vitaliy Mykolenko and Michael Keane made the difference to secure three points away from home.
Beto may have struck to open up a two-goal lead, but Lineker has made a point that could see Moyes find an alternative to the striker this summer.

Lineker moots Beto replacement at Everton
There has been no lack of exit links for the 27-year-old who has had his struggles since moving to Goodison Park in 2023.
That hasn’t stopped the former Udinese man from becoming an important player for the Toffees since the return of David Moyes earlier in the season.
This has seen the striker net seven goals under the Scottish head coach, with his most recent coming against the Cottagers.

Beto caught out Bernd Leno and found the bottom corner to help ease the L4 outfit to a win in the capital.
Regardless of this, Lineker has questioned whether Moyes could replace the Bissau Guinean in the upcoming summer window on Match of the Day (10 May).
He said: “Beto scored again today, lots of talk of changes at Everton coming up this summer, can you see him leading the line next season?”
Ashley Williams instantly replied to say: “I think David Moyes will want someone else, but I think he’s a very good second option, he’s proved that since Moyes came in. He works so hard for the team, and his movement is actually quite good.
“With Beto, he’s been brilliant since Moyes has come in, they needed someone who was powerful and strong upfront.”

Everton could get more out of Beto
It felt as if the striker was destined for an exit under Sean Dyche after what was a poor spell under the former Burnley head coach at Goodison.
That has somewhat turned a corner in recent weeks, despite a link for Beto to the newly promoted Leeds United side ahead of the summer.
If that move were to go through, a replacement would certainly be necessary for Moyes and Co., ready for a move to the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
This could prove to be someone like Richarlison, who has been linked with a return to Merseyside after a frustrating spell at Tottenham.
It will certainly make for an interesting window for the Evertonians who will be keen on building on their recent progress under Moyes.
