Friedkins ‘ready Nuno Espirito Santo appointment’ with Everton set to benefit
Everton could receive a welcome boost for their Premier League campaign next time out after the latest news on Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Everton waved farewell to Goodison Park with a 2-0 win against Southampton at the weekend, though they still have one more game this season before preparations get underway for the new campaign.
Since the arrival of David Moyes, the Toffees have looked destined for brighter days, though a lot of work will need to be done in the summer to achieve that.
However, before that planning even gets underway, Everton could be set to receive a boost to their hopes of progressing after an update emerged elsewhere.

Forest could part ways with Santo this summer
When it comes to encounters this season, Everton and Forest have both picked up three points against each other, with the most recent clash ending in a 1-0 win for Moyes’ side on 12 April.
Under the stewardship of the Portuguese manager, Forest have had an excellent campaign, but that may be set to change next season, before they are even aware of their European fate.
Premier League | W | D | L | P |
Forest 7th | 19 | 8 | 10 | 65 |
Everton 13th | 10 | 15 | 12 | 45 |
A report from Foot Mercato (20 May), the Champions League hopefuls could be set to part ways with Santo after the tension between him and the owner, Evangelos Marinakis.
Since then, Relevo have reported that AS Roma, another side owned by The Friedkin Group, have made an approach to hire him this summer.
Should that deal go through, Everton would see one of their Premier League rivals weakened massively, boosting their own chances of achieving something next season.

Everton have a huge summer ahead
Regardless of what happens elsewhere, it is still evident that Everton need to recruit well this summer and ensure that Moyes has the tools to achieve something special on Merseyside.
The Scotsman has already steadied the ship, and the next step will be to take the Toffees one step further in the new campaign, ahead of what promises to be a hectic summer period.
