Everton now in talks to sign Jarrad Branthwaite replacement as scouts blown away

Everton’s squad faces a major overhaul this summer as David Moyes undertakes his first summer transfer window since returning to the Toffees.

With the Premier League season now all but over, Everton’s focus is almost completely on the transfer window.

Numerous stars are expected to leave the Toffees, with Abdoulaye Doucoure’s exit from Goodison Park now seemingly confirmed.

On top of this, Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked away from Everton numerous times, and Moyes now has a replacement lined up ready for the Englishman’s departure.

Everton target Sinaly Diomande to replace Branthwaite

Branthwaite has been heavily linked to Chelsea in recent weeks as the 22-year-old’s Everton career looks to be coming to an end this summer.

The Toffees are expecting to receive a big offer for Branthwaite, which will allow Moyes to bring in numerous new signings.

As a result, multiple stars have been linked to Everton, with AfricaFoot (21 May) reporting that the Merseyside club want to sign Sinaly Diomande to replace their young centre-back.

Diomande has impressed in France

The Ivory Coast international currently makes his trade in France, playing for Auxerre.

Here, he has impressed, and he helped his team finish 11th in Ligue 1 this season.

Now, the report states that these performances have impressed the Everton scouts, who have now begun talks with Diomande over a potential transfer this summer.

Several other European clubs remain interested, and it is unknown how much Auxerre will demand for the 24-year-old.

Everton should continue to look for bargains in France

In recent years, Ligue 1 has become an ideal division to find hidden gems.

Plenty of stars have crossed the English Channel to join the Premier League and have impressed.

Idrissa Gueye is just one example, as the midfielder joined from PSG to return to Everton in 2022.

Hopefully, Moyes recognises this and sends more scouts to France to find more potential bargains.
