Everton told Ben Doak transfer fee as Liverpool exit now on cards

Everton are reportedly eyeing a shock move for Liverpool attacker Ben Doak in the upcoming transfer window.

David Moyes will be in charge of his first summer at the Merseyside outfit in his second stint at the club, and will be looking to strengthen a number of positions.

It’s also a new era for the Toffees as they will begin the campaign at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Doak to cost £25-£30m this summer

According to TEAMtalk (24 May), the Toffees, along with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are keeping tabs on the winger-cum-attacking midfielder.

Liverpool have not yet decided whether or not they want to cash in on the 19-year-old this summer.

A loan is also an option for the Reds as the Scotland international is still a teenager and can develop into a first-team player for them.

However, in case they do decide to part ways with him, a fee in the region of £25million and £30million would be enough for them.

Everton can benefit from signing Doak this summer

Doak could significantly strengthen Everton if they secure his transfer this summer.

The teenager’s standout 2024/25 Championship season demonstrates his ability to create and impact games.

His versatility as a right winger or attacking midfielder, combined with his explosive pace and dribbling, likened to a young Raheem Sterling, would add dynamism to Everton’s attack, which has lacked flair with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure looming and Armando Broja’s loan ending.

Doak’s record as Scotland Under-21s youngest-ever goalscorer also highlights his potential to grow into a key player under Moyes, who has a history of nurturing young talent, as seen with Wayne Rooney.

With Everton unable to offer European football, Doak’s hunger for regular minutes could make him a cornerstone for their long-term Premier League ambitions.

Dealing with Liverpool most certainly is going to be a challenge, but if the right money is offered, they could be willing to do a deal this summer.
