Friedkins press ‘really hard reset’ at Everton after Man City developments – Exclusive
Everton have undergone changes from top to bottom as they prepare for a new dawn at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
While most of the talk has been about marquee signings, the Toffees have made significant adjustments at board level.
The Gers announced that Dan Purdy had joined the Rangers revolution from the Merseyside club as a technical director, with Angus Kinnear creating his own team.
On the flip side, Everton look set to land Manchester City’s director of scouting and recruitment, James Smith, as the Friedkins lay down their marker.

Everton pressing forward with summer signings
Kinnear was recently appointed as Everton’s CEO after leaving his role at Leeds United.
The move has paved the way for further changes at the Blues, and there has been talk of a summer overhaul on the pitch to follow.
Football finance expert Dan Plumley has provided insight on the appointments and what it could mean for the Toffees.
“It tracks with what we’ve seen since the takeover was confirmed, and the new stadium and beyond,” he exclusively told Goodison News when asked if Everton were making a statement with their hires.
“We expected Everton to push a really hard reset button financially, which the new owners have done.
“The way they’ve restructured the balance sheet has freed up and helped the debt position.
“We expect them to be active in the transfer market, and we’re looking at the boardroom positions and what they’re trying to do.
“It has those hallmarks of a club that’s trying to move forward now after a difficult period, looking at it across the board of sporting and operations.
“If they’re targeting people in that kind of space, people that have worked for Man City and others that would be in that mix of your elite clubs, then it certainly shows the intent of where they’re wanting to go this summer, but not just this summer, beyond that into the next three to five year cycle for that club.”

The Toffees must now make moves in transfer market
Everton could be set to lose Dominic Calvert-Lewin within weeks, with a host of other players already confirmed to be moving on.
Now, David Moyes and the Merseyside outfit have their work cut out to build a force for their new stadium.
Jack Grealish represents a dream transfer from Man City, while there have been reports of an Everton move for Villareal’s Thierno Barry.
Whoever comes through the door will be expected to make an immediate impact for the Toffees, especially after the hard Friedkin reset.
