Everton news round-up: McNeil set for exit as Real Madrid make transfer announcement
Everton could be set to face many high-profile exits before the summer ends.
The Toffees are moving deeper into the window, hoping to build a squad fit for the state-of-the-art Hill Dickinson Stadium.
That may not be too easy for David Moyes to organise as constant exit links continue to surround some of his better players in L4.
This won’t stop the Scot from bringing in new faces who could have a telling impact on the side moving into the new Premier League campaign.
With that in mind, Goodison News has rounded up all the news from 25 June.

Everton transfer truth emerges for Raphael Onyedika signing
The Toffees have been linked with a swoop for Club Brugge star Onyedika, alongside competition from Graham Potter’s West Ham.
Although the L4 club looked to be in pole position, those close to the Nigeria international’s entourage have now dismissed any links to the Blues [Liverpool Echo, 25 June].
A deal for the 24-year-old has been suggested, but doesn’t appear to be in the pipeline at this stage of the transfer window.
It now remains to be seen whether the Merseyside outfit will make a move for the midfielder and change their stance in the coming weeks.

McNeil ‘could be set for Everton exit’
With the way that PSR rules work in the Premier League, there is every chance that any signings that are made by the Evertonians have to be balanced out by sales.
This is certainly the case for a number of different sides in the division, and could be on the cards for the Goodison club this summer.
With a £30 million valuation hanging over transfer target Omari Hutchinson, a deal for the 21-year-old could spell bad news for McNeil.
The winger could prove to be the makeweight for the signing of the Ipswich Town star, especially as the window moves ever deeper.
Real Madrid sign of out-of-contract Everton star
Less than a week ago, the Toffees announced that Sara Holmgaard would be leaving Everton after her contract came to an end on Merseyside.
It is fair to say that the exit came at the end of a positive season where the 26-year-old contributed to seven goals in less than 20 appearances.
Stat (WSL 24/25) | Sara Holmgaard |
Appearances | 19 |
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 4 |
This has caught the eye of one of the biggest clubs in the world in Real Madrid, who have confirmed the signing of the Denmark international on a two-year deal.
Now, Holmgaard has departed Madrid to begin training ahead of the Women’s European Championships before a return to the Spanish capital.
