Everton ‘to go all out for Weah’ as Juventus agree to transfer

Timothy Weah could become Everton’s second signing of the summer transfer window.

As we approach July, Everton have still only been able to conclude one arrival so far this summer, with the permanent addition of Carlos Alcaraz.

With that said, that is expected to change in the coming weeks, and with the PSR turnover due immediately, the next arrival could be here in a matter of days.

David Moyes needs to be backed this summer, and TFG may be about to showcase their willingness to do that with the signing of Weah from Juventus.

Weah sparks interest after failed Juventus exit

Everton have already expressed an interest in signing Weah this summer, with it now revealed that he has turned down a move to Nottingham Forest after a deal was agreed.

As for the reason behind that deal collapsing, it remains to be seen, but several Premier League clubs still hold an interest, including the Toffees.

Weah was left out of Juventus’ squad for their Club World Cup clash with Man City on Thursday (26 June), sparking suggestions that his exit could be imminent.

As reported by journalist Ed Aarons via X (27 June), Everton are showing an interest in Weah, along with fellow Premier League sides Leeds United and Bournemouth.

Should he make the move to Merseyside, it would be an excellent addition for Everton, who would be getting a player capable of playing in several positions, and it is a deal that they simply need to pursue.

Everton can show ambition this summer

If recruitment is done right, Everton can achieve something special next campaign, and put all of these seasons of relegation battles behind them.

However, a failure to do so will see that trend continue, and it isn’t a risk that the Toffees can afford to take.

Weah’s addition would be a great one, though the Merseysiders would still need several more of that calibre to get to the next level, and it appears as though TFG are prepared to do whatever it takes to seal those types of transfers.
