John Textor ready to accept £10.3m Everton transfer bid after pay rise accepted
Everton are still yet to make progress in the summer transfer window.
The Toffees have only announced the permanent signing of Carlos Alcaraz, after the midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan from Flamengo.
David Moyes will hope the coming weeks bring news of new permanent signings, with several players leaving at the end of the season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison were among those to depart, with the Scot’s attacking options now looking scarce.

Everton interested in new goalkeeper
Everton are in need of a signing in the goalkeeping department, with their depth in the position looking in short supply.
Joao Virginia, Asmir Begovic and Billy Crellin all left the club last month, upon the expiration of their contracts.
Harry Tyrer could be on the move too with Blackpool reportedly keen on reuniting with the goalkeeper, who enjoyed a positive loan spell in League One with the Tangerines.
The 23-year-old’s departure would leave Jordan Pickford as the only first-team goalkeeper in Moyes’ squad.

Clearly, the Toffees must make the signing of a goalkeeper a priority in the coming weeks and, according to Brazilian outlet Bolavip (July 8), Botafogo shot-stopper John Victor is under consideration at The Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Majority owner of Botafogo, John Textor, is already looking for replacements for the Brazilian and will accept a fee worth around £10.3million.
Manchester United are also interested in Victor, who has impressed recently at the Club World Cup for the Brazilian Serie A team.
The 29-year-old signed for Botafogo in January of 2024, joining in a deal worth around £1m after a previous spell in the Spanish second division with Real Valladolid.
Everton need to up the ante
With the beginning of Everton’s pre-season just a week away, Moyes’ options are looking remarkably limited.
Thierno Barry is expected to sign on the dotted line in the coming days, which would provide a well-timed source of excitement for Blues fans.
But more signings will be required to stave off the sinking feeling ahead of the new season, with the coming weeks vital to a positive start at Everton’s new home.
