Everton transfer round-up: John McGinn wanted as £10m+ bid to be accepted
Everton will hope the coming weeks will see an advancement in their transfer business.
The Toffees’ only incoming so far this summer has been to make Carlos Alcaraz’s move from Flamengo permanent, after the midfielder joined on loan in January.
David Moyes will hope for further signings in the coming days, with Everton’s first pre-season friendly, against Accrington Stanley, rapidly approaching.
Here, Goodison News rounds up the latest Everton updates on 8 July.

Everton register interest in McGinn
According to The Athletic (July 8), Everton are interested in a move for Aston Villa captain John McGinn.
The 30-year-old is under contract at Villa Park until 2027, and the Villans are keen to retain the midfielder.
McGinn was a regular for Unai Emery’s side last season and would add a wealth of Premier League experience and power to the Everton midfield, should they succeed in convincing Villa to sanction a sale.
Travers among consideration at Everton
Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers is attracting interest at Everton, according to Mark McAdam (July 8).
The 26-year-old has two years left on his deal at The Vitality Stadium, and is liked by Moyes.
Everton are in need of a goalkeeper this summer and Travers could be available, following reports of the Cherries’ interest in Djordje Petrovic.
Harrison could return to Everton
Jack Harrison returned to Leeds United following the end of the season, after two years on loan at Everton.
But according to The I Paper (July 8), the Toffees are considering a move that would see the winger return on a permanent basis.

Harrison failed to impress for the Blues last season, and would fail to encourage fans hoping for a fresh start at The Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton lining up move for Victor
In an alternative option to Travers, Everton have also been linked with a move for Brazilian goalkeeper John Victor.
The Botafogo shot-stopper has been made available this summer for around £10.3million by majority owner John Textor, according to Bolavip (July 8).
Victor has recently impressed at the Club World Cup, earning the player of the match award in Botafogo’s round of 16 exit at the hands of Palmeiras.
