Everton transfer news as Doctor issues Mark Travers medical update
Everton appear to be closing in on the permanent signing of Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers in the coming days.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed his availability and game time from last season ahead of a move to Merseyside.
The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season out on loan at Middlesbrough.

Travers expected to have no issues in clearing his medical
The Republic of Ireland international is not expected to face any issues in clearing his medical, according to Dr Brar.
Everton have already agreed personal terms with Travers and he’s now on the verge of finalising his move. [Sky Sports, 14 July]

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Travers: “He did play regularly in the second half of last season and even in the first half, when he was a backup, he did not face any fitness issues.
“That always bodes well for a player in any position moving to a new club.
“I do not expect him to face any issues in clearing his medical.“

Travers can learn a lot from Jordan Pickford at Everton
Travers can learn immensely from Jordan Pickford at Everton to potentially claim the number-one goalkeeper spot in a few years.
Pickford’s commanding presence and ability to play as a sweeper showcase his distribution and shot-stopping prowess.
Travers, at 26, can study the England international’s vocal leadership, handling of high-pressure situations and consistency.
By refining his own distribution and improving his save percentage, the Irishman can develop into a reliable Premier League keeper.
Training alongside Pickford daily offers invaluable mentorship, positioning Travers to capitalise on any future opportunity.
