Alan Myers shares what he’s been told as Everton ‘close in on Douglas Luiz’
Everton have emerged as one of the favourites to land Douglas Luiz.
The Toffees have shown ambition in this early stage of the window, already landing an exciting deal for Thierno Barry from Villarreal.
This could be set to continue under David Moyes if the Merseyside outfit are able to bring in the Brazil international from Juventus this summer.
With that being said, journalist Alan Myers has now spoken out to share details about a potential deal for the midfielder in the coming weeks of the window.

Myers shares Luiz transfer reveal at Everton
Having already brought in Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal from Flamengo, it could be all change in the engine room in L4.
The Argentine could prove to be the perfect man to link up with someone like Luiz, who is famed for his industrious, box-to-box playing style.
This saw the 27-year-old flourish under Unai Emery before being utilised in a PSR deal with Juventus, in a similar ilk to Tim Iroegbunam with the Blues.

As a result, it could represent an excellent deal for Moyes and Co. to land the central midfielder, something which could be edging closer.
Reports coming out of Italy have suggested that the Toffees have won the race ahead of West Ham to land the Brazilian from the Old Lady [Giovanni Albanese, 15 July].
Despite this, Myers has spoken out on this development, suggesting that no agreement or discussions have been held over a deal for Luiz at Everton.
Taking to X (16 July), he said: “My information is there is no agreement or even discussions, same with the Soucek rumours too.”
Everton could pull off Luiz coup
There is no getting away from the fact that the ex-Manchester City man has struggled to acclimatise to life in Serie A in the past 12 months.
With that being said, Luiz was simply superb in his final years at Villa Park in the Premier League, contributing heavily for a side that qualified for the Champions League.
As a result, landing his signature on an initial loan could prove to be one of the signings of the summer if he hits the ground running at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
