‘Friedkins learn from mistakes at Everton’ after Richarlison transfer call

Richarlison could be affected at Tottenham as Everton continue their search for new transfers this summer.

The Blues signed Thierno Barry from Villarreal to bolster their attack, and Mark Travers is the latest addition to their squad.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has left the Blues, and David Moyes has his eyes on Richarlison to strengthen his options up front ahead of next season.

The Merseyside outfit are expected to do a lot more business this summer after losing several players as free agents, and they have made their decision on signing the Spurs attacker.

Everton downplay Richarlison transfer links amid interest from Saudi and Brazil

Richarlison may not be returning to the Toffees from Tottenham this summer, Ben Jacobs says.

The GiveMeSport journalist revealed that the Blues have downplayed links regarding the 28-year-old due to the possible fee involved and his high wage.

Jacobs claims that clubs in Saudi Arabia and Brazil are working on signing the striker, but it remains to be seen how his situation unfolds.

Speaking on Last Word On Spurs (17 July), the journalist said: “There remains Saudi and also some Brazilian interest in Richarlison. So, let’s see how that one develops. I think Leeds was the other link, but when I went to Leeds, much like Everton, it was largely downplayed for Richarlison because it’s a big fee and quite a high wage as well.”

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have made some excellent decisions since taking over from Farhad Moshiri, one of them being the replacement of Sean Dyche with Moyes.

Calvert-Lewin’s fitness issues at Goodison Park were frustrating, and the Americans are right not to spend a significant sum on someone like Richarlison, who has been unreliable at Spurs due to his injuries.

Moyes needs striker he can count on after Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja exits

Armando Broja has returned to Chelsea after an injury-hit season at the Toffees, and it looks like TFG have learned from past mistakes by not considering the Tottenham forward as an option.

With Everton moving to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, supporters expect a massive summer at the Merseyside outfit.

While Barry’s arrival is encouraging, Moyes will arguably need more quality at his disposal to make further progress next season.

Richarlison’s return is seemingly ruled out, and only time will tell who the Blues have identified to reinforce their attack further.
